Wolfie was recently rescued

That face...
This is Theif. He's an aptly named beagle who is heartworm positive. Theif was rescued from a local animal control office. He's quite the little scamp as he was named because of his constant ability to borrow things and take them to his hiding place!
He'll be available for adoption in early May.

Wolfie.
A one year old beagle/terrier mix, he had a deep laceration to his side when PAWS Atlanta took him in last week. This cute little guy is getting medication for the wound, then getting neutered.

Remember Sinatra? He can use your help

Remember Sinatra?
We rescued him a week ago from a local animal control office. Well, he needs an X-Ray to look into that cast and see how his leg is healing.
We're created a special account just for Sinatra. You even donate under your favorite Rat Packer.
With luck Sinatra will be ready for adoption in a week or two.

Tenchi is having a great day at PAWS, but she is ready to go home.

Tenchi started off the morning with a walk around the PAWS Atlanta trail and then had some offleash time with her buddy, Marlon. After all the excitement it was time for her to get a bath and now she is hanging out with the girls at the front desk and waiting for her new family. She is playful and loves to cuddle. Her favorite thing in the world is to be around people. Please come out and meet her today. She is anxious to get out of the shelter and into a home. If you have any questions please call us at (770)593-1155.

Watch her online:

Luke (and many others) got adopted this past weekend

It was a busy weekend with 12 pets finding homes. Luke was a special one to the staff-he's a super friendly dog who loves life and we're glad that he found his forever home.
PAWS Atlanta still has many great pets that are waiting for you, check them out on the website, or pop by to meet them.
Chelsea Henderson and Luke are pictured here just before going home.

Punk rock show, May 8 at Manuel's Tavern

It's a good ole punk rock show.

Jen Belgard, the co owner of Libertine in Little Five Points is having a birthday and store anniversary. She wanted to throw a party and have the proceeds go towards PAWS Atlanta.

Tickets are $15 and available at Libertine or at Manuel's Tavern on May 8. Punk rock legend Jayne County is coming out of retirement to perform. She's played around with the like of The New York Dolls, early Bowie and many more. Don't miss this chance to see a legend.

Does anybody have an extra I.V. pump? Maybe you're a veterinarian or work at a big hospital that is updating their equipment?

PAWS Atlanta needs an I.V. pump or two.

Sometimes we'll need to put sick pets on an I.V. drip. Those curious paws and tails can sometimes get in the way of the drip continually pumping medicine in small, furry patients. The I.V pump, just like in use with humans, makes certain that the medicine continues pumping.

PAWS Atlanta is a 501c3 organization and all in kind donations will be tax deductible.

Sinatra, old blue eyes is at PAWS Atlanta.

This is Sinatra. He's a 4 year old Jack Russel mix. We rescued little Sinatra yesterday from a local county animal control office.
Sinatra's story is that he had an accident with his left front leg and broke it. He still gets around very well with the cast and will be his typical Jack Russell self in about three weeks. Sinatra will be available for adoption next week from PAWS Atlanta.

Hundreds of pets saved today!

This is Luke, he's a super dog that is waiting to meet you. He is very, very friendly, loves tennis balls, running, children and belly rubs. Luke is a two year old retreiver and is already netuered, has all of his shots, de wormed and microchipped.
Also, every Monday and Wednesday at PAWS Atlanta we have a discount spay/neuter clinic. By spaying or neutering pets we're helping prevent pet overpopulation.
Is your pet spayed or neutered? If not what are you waiting for?

There have also been some great adoptions recently: Echo and Daisy both just got adopted.

Daisy is a sweet lab/retriever mix who just didn't 'show'. She loved people but she was just a bit shy, thankfully a great family came through today and just took her home.
